PCA in the Past:

PCA
PROWELL COMMUNICATION ARTS turns 21

I keep a photo on my refrigerator of me from Costa Rica in 1987, the year I went out on my own as a communications producer. By the look of it, I hadn't heard the stock market was teetering and we could expect a rough patch economically. The first big project had delivered and was at that moment out on tour at a series of small business seminars throughout California. And the next one was equally exciting, but all new territory -- a video script. There would always be work, always long hours and uncompromising deadlines, but I was deeply relaxed by the recent proof that I could define and craft a worklife as adventurous as the world itself.

The possibility of a promotional campaign for the emerging tourist economy in Costa Rica was irresistable, though the timing was a little problematic. The US had decided to invade neighboring Panama just then and I was travelling alone. I went anyway. I met my next clients there and came home with yet another project in unfamiliar territory -- interpretative signage for The Nature Conservancy.

The photo reminds me to be fearless and open, even as PCA celebrates coming of age. Thanks to a string of incredible clients with the capacity to see down the road, I've had the privilege of a broad exposure to the communication arts. Within these pages are the worlds of global networks, tourism, arts education, consumer product marketing, environmental conservation, entertainment, software development, politics and publishing.

I provide a fairly intimate service, translating your spirit and your story. You won't find endless variations of a single style or voice here. I add clarity and creative expression to your mission. Or a strategy to your goal. That's the better part of maturity.

Thank you for your visit. If you are interested in a review of your project, send me an email and I'll let you know if the target, content and timing are right for us.
